When I used to read fairy-tales, I fancied that kind of thing never happened, and now here I am in the middle of one!

Poor Alice, everything that she relates to in her world is a horror in this one. She eats eggs for breakfast at home, but now that she can talk to a bird the practice of eating eggs is terrible. Just like when she was talking to the Mouse and the birds about Dinah while at the Caucus race. They were petrified!

She seems to have the worst trouble getting into places? Besides, why should she want to get into the Duchess's house when she was supposed to be looking for the garden?
