Smith’s overall performance in Grenada was even more illustrative of how a maneuverist works. Elite Army rangers were pinned down at the airport, largely by Cuban construction workers, and could not move. But Smith’s Marines, a much smaller group, ripped around Grenada as if they owned the island. They bypassed enemy strongholds, put strength against weakness, and moved like water flowing downhill.
