My story would not be one of death and suffering and sacrifice. I would take my own place in the songs that would be sung about Theseus: the princess who saved him and ended the monstrosity that blighted Crete.

I felt that this book always told more than it showed. This book was set out to portraying a feminist perspective on the lives of these forgotten women in Ancient Greece but rather than exploring how this and the stories beneath the surface pretty much reiterates what mythology has already stated. Huge disappointment

This seriously pissed me off. After all that this character has went through, they still did not learn any lessons from their previous encounter of men. Absolutely no development to their character what so ever.
