“So Tairn hasn’t channeled to you, either, right?” Liam asks, a look of uncertainty, vulnerability on his face. I shake my head. “I think he has commitment issues,” I whisper. “I heard that.” “Then stay out of my head.”
“Have you always been this tall?” I blurt the first thing that comes to mind. “No. I was a child at some point.” I roll my eyes.
“What the hell is wrong with him?” someone asks as Jack writhes. “Oranges,” I whisper to Ridoc as my body finally gives out. “He’s allergic to oranges.” I fall into nothingness.
“Don’t do that,” I whisper, and he lifts his head again to hold my gaze. “Don’t do what? Tell you I can’t get you out of my head? Or speak directly into yours?” “Either.”
“But do not wallow in guilt, Silver One. Whatever you feel is natural. Allow yourself to feel it but then let it go.
