Its so convenient that violet never wants the violence to happen and one of her little supplicants does the dirty work for her so we can get the satisfaction of revenge without the main character having to be morally gray at all or wrestle with her choices to get back at someone. anyone who harms her will regret it but she gets to remain the sweet pea little, never would hurt a fly pacifist and feel just sooooooooo sorry about all the bloodshed that happens on her behalf
