Jesus, sometimes it is hard to fathom the mercy and kindness of Your sacrifice for us. How we long to live as examples of Your love and humility! We need Your help. Lord, strip us of our desire for accolades and praise, and give us hearts willing to be emptied of all privilege as we serve those around us. Cause us to be attentive to the needs of others, to be ambassadors of Your peace in our hurting world. Amen.
