To me a “workout” is a set amount of time, at a place that resembles a gym, filled with lunges and squats. To me, “exercise” involves wearing leggings and twisting my body into stretchy positions or counting the number of reps and feeling the burn. But “movement” encompasses so much more, and it does so in a way that respects my body. Movement is dancing in the living room in my underwear, taking a walk with my dogs, swimming in the pool with my nieces and nephews, rolling my head to release my neck after a stressful day.
