What happened to the fifth (5th) remaining member? 2 elves + dwarf (Hendel) + Balinor + Menion = 5

This does not coincide with "The Children of Armageddon."

“Your home is wherever you make it. Your people are whomever you wish them to be. But your responsibilities are sometimes given you without choice, without consent.

This is so true of the life we, mankind, live.

“Never mind. Somehow I sense that we are alike in this. You know no more than I.”

This is so true of Allanon. Not from the beginning, for the first time we are introduced to him he is just a boy. But, beginning with "The Sword of Shannara" he only reveals part of what he knows.

“We first need to understand who we were before we can understand who we are.”

This is certainly true in regards to salvation for if one does not see themselves as a sinner, then no need will be seen for the grace of God. Therefore he/she will see no need to obey the gospel.
