waiting too long to have a vacation, or skipping vacations entirely, doesn’t actually allow you to perform at your best. You need rest. It also sends signals to your team, like it or not, that it’s improper for them to take the time they need. It’s hard for them to know for sure that they’re okay taking time off unless they see you do it first.
