Now imagine this scenario in a public setting, versus delivering the feedback in a 1:1. Not only can that feel bad for the individual, but it can have negative impacts on other team dynamics, creating a culture where people don’t feel safe around one another. Feeling safe in a team environment is important because psychological safety in general tends to help people feel happier and more productive.
