I was surprised when he said he could see my demons. Even my closest friends don’t see those. Holden was right; he didn’t break me, but because he sees me as broken, I know we could never be. Fixing me temporarily silences whatever it is that haunts him. His words, not mine: "I notice my own reflection." He wants to tame my demons because he can’t get rid of his own. The issue is, he doesn’t see what I already know. I’m not the answer. I can never be his solution.
