Like so many central bankers, he married late—at the age of fifty-three—to Mrs. Alice Grayson, widow of his old friend Admiral Grayson, who had been Woodrow Wilson’s doctor and accompanied him to the Paris Peace Conference. Harrison died in 1958 at the age of seventy-one.
