Piper didn’t know she was loved. She never had. But she wasn’t the only one who knew how to run. I’d been doing it since the day I strapped my bow to my back and told my parents I was going to go make something of myself. I’d been running ever since. Gotten pretty good at it, too. So if Piper decided to run, that would be just fine with me. I’d been preparing my whole life to keep up.
