My mouth opens in shock. I ask, “Are you an angel?” Because I didn’t know they made ‘em like that. I would’ve died sooner if that’s the case.
And that’s how I met the most aggravating man that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in my afterlife.
I perk up once again. “Are there aliens or are humans the only species—” “For the love of God, please stop.”
Aiden points at me. “I told her to stay here, but she started making all kinds of threats, so I had no choice.” That rat bastard. I peer at him bitterly.
“Have any of you committed fraud, murder, assault, rape, child molestation, grand theft auto, or enjoy raisins?” I ask, my face passive as I wait for their answers. I hear Aiden chuckle in the background. Probably because of my mentioning of raisins. It’s a valid question.
He rolls his eyes. “I bet you tell all your men that.” I chuckle. “Yes. But it’s your turn.”
