On August 17, 2022 the Society of Actuaries Research Institute (SOA) published their Group Life COVID 19 Mortality Survey Report. This report represents approximately 80% of the group life US revenues. In Table 5.7 of their report, you can see there was an event that occurred in the Third Quarter of 2021 (highlighted in red and orange) which confirmed excess mortality of 78% and 100% respectively, for two age groups (25-34 and 35-44).
