In the middle of the road ahead dances a black horse with eyes of fire and a mane of smoke. It stands over eight feet tall and looks like it could trample my Beetle to dust. More worrying is its rider. He wears a similar highwayman’s costume to William’s but the cloak is frayed. In one hand, he carries a double-headed ax, and in the other a jack o'lantern filled with flames. Cold shivers run down my spine. There’s a void above his shoulders. He doesn’t have a head!
