“He's mine to hold down. You were doing it wrong. You hurt him. Look at your fucking hand. You hurt him.” “He's mine, too,” Kaleb growls, and takes a step toward her. It is officially time to intervene.
Then she looks back at me and I watch as her anger towards Kaleb, and then the state of the nest, switches to focus solely on me.
I'm so fucking relieved that I could cry. “Lay it on me, cupcake. Tell me why you're mad at me.” “You treat Jasper like an omega.”
We are yours, and you allow other alphas and entities to dictate our lives. It's bullshit. We should be your priority.”
She shakes her head. “You know what we need. Not them, Devon. Not them. We are yours. Just yours. Do better. Be with us. Really with us, not in the background working toward a future that you're outside of. You are ours. Make them understand that.”
Here it is. The thing I think we've all been waiting for. Kaleb would have stayed at the hospital with her. Nathan and Trent would have never let her leave in the first place when we got those horrible pictures. It's all on me. I didn't take the obvious and not so obvious opinions of my pack into consideration. I was too worried about Jasper to see what was looking me in the face.
Heat cycles are cruel. It doesn't matter that she is finally allowing herself to feel the things that she should have been feeling all along, her body is forcing its needs on her.
She's still only hours into the beginning of her heat. Regardless of the emotional turmoil, she doesn't need sweet or gentle.
She's burning up, damp with sweat, and no matter how many times Reid or Corso re-braid her hair strands and tendrils keep escaping.
I have to put effort into not growling at Corso when he so very gently pries Talia's hands away from my arms. I can smell the blood and feel the sting now, she must have dug her nails into me. I'll be wearing her marks down my arms and back, hopefully for days.
I can take what she's offering me now, and I'm fucking going to. It doesn't matter that she's already wearing my mark; if she needs the bite, I'll give it to her. Every single time she needs it.
It isn't another claiming mark, and she isn't bleeding much at all, but it was so fucking satisfying to be able to give her the bite the way I wanted to.
I'm glad for that, too. It feels better to have my own taste of pain, Corso must understand that.
Talia is right. I already knew it, but even in the middle of a heat like this Corso is a good alpha.
I've been trying so hard to not compare anything between her and Jasper, but they feel so different, and their bonds touch completely different parts of me.
We were going to bond her into the pack eventually, I just needed to pull my head out of my ass. We would have been a pack of alphas centered by an omega and his beta mate and it would be just like it is now, just without the double heat factor.
My blood is all over this section of the nest. I don't think Talia will mind, I actually think she might enjoy it;
“She will remember what you did, fratello. That was the best thing that you could have done. She didn't like seeing you do it, she needs you to be her alpha right now, strong and dominant. But when she comes out of heat, she will remember what you did and she knows how important that is.”
While he is our omega, and an omega in this pack, she is his omega.
I'm extremely glad that she can't get her hands on Jasper. So far she's done really well to not touch him aggressively in any way, but this is very obviously testing her limits.
I'm not sure if it is possible for me to be much happier than I am right now. I have been dreaming of a child with Talia for years. I begged her to consider it before she left us for good, but she wouldn't.
It was incredibly frustrating for me because she has been all my pack has ever wanted or needed.
Anything she does will be perfect. I want Talia to be wherever she is happiest.
I'm not going to bring up the change in her scent. I want to see how long it takes the others to notice.
Alex always enjoys being in on a secret.
“Do it right, or I'll do it for you. Don't make him whine,” she growls without opening her eyes.
“Black leather? Nylon? Something more sturdy?” She pinches my side. “Pervert. You've got the rest of them fooled, but I know how lecherous you can be.”
“How's my girl?” I push my pajama pants off and crawl between his legs to start undoing his pants. I think the sound of a zipper being dragged down is one of my favorites. “I see,” he says and puts his book on the nightstand. “Tell me what you need from me, sweet girl.”
“Careful, Talia. Just lick it, we don't want to get too carried away. It would be terrible if you made me cum and we didn't get to do all those other fun things. Wouldn't Kaleb be disappointed if he didn't get to fuck me while he watches you work yourself over? He'd be so sad to miss that.”
It doesn't take long for him to push me over the edge, and he laughs at me when I cry out Kaleb's name instead of his.
Elizabet is smiling now, “I knew sending you to this pack was the right thing to do. I just knew it.” I don’t see Talia’s eye roll, but I feel it just the same.
And, for all my banter and bullshit, I don't know that Jasper and I really want or need to take our relationship to the level that me climbing into his nest without a clear goal would elevate us to.
I jerk my head to look at him and pull in a breath when I see his expression. Jasper might be the one in heat, but Reid is on fire.
She lightly places her hands on Jasper's hips, “it's just too bad this is only a visual experiment.” Every one of us groans; me, Devon, Jasper, all of us. “Do it. Fuck, I want it,” Jasper whines.
The combination of shit talking, moaning, and purring in here is dizzying; and I'm pretty sure most of it is involuntary. Well, the moaning and purring is, Talia knows exactly what she's saying and how it's affecting all of us.
Every now and then she switches to a grinding motion that makes him whine and beg her to give him more of something she doesn't have.
Even if I just get to look at her wearing it, it'll be worth it. Fuck, she's so much fun.
“You want to be fucked so bad, such a needy omega. You want it rough?” She grabs his hips and thrusts hard against him a couple times. “Or do you want me to be so easy, and take it nice and slow?” She goes back to the grinding motion, and he fists the blankets that make up the base of the nest as he whines. I'm about to start whining, too. This is one of the hottest things I've seen, and she's just playing, just pretending.
What makes it even hotter is when she gives his ass a little slap every few thrusts. Yeah, I'm going to revisit this memory often.
Talia going through the motions of fucking him from behind is probably more than enough to make him forget what he was supposed to be doing.
Jasper makes a truly desperate sound and tries to lower his head. Talia holds him firm. “It's too bad I don't have a way to really fuck you right now. You'd make the best sounds for me.” “Fuck,” Devon grunts.
“Sit on your hands, Alex,” Talia says in that sugary tone. She and I may have to do a little exploring of our own if that tone is going to affect me this much.
“Only if you're very, very good.” She's talking to me, but she's teasing Jasper.
Then she walks out the door, calling over her shoulder, “come on, Alex. After that little show I need to be fucked.” “Yes, ma'am,”
This is weird as fuck. Since when does Seth care so much about me getting sick?
He lifts my foot up and kisses the inside of my ankle. I'm very slowly getting accustomed to Devon's affection. He is every bit as affectionate with me as he ever was and is with Jasper. It was awkward for me at first, but now I love it.
Corso is openly crying when I meet his eyes, and I reach up to brush away his happy tears.
I do believe that Andrew is happy for us, but I also know how sad he is about his own pack's situation. They've tried for years to find the right omega for them, but nobody has been the right fit.
Most of the young omegas at the meet and greets don't really know what to do with my brother's pack. It's very unfortunate.
“Are they alright? Are they all okay?” That's all I can think to ask. We were trying to have one, singular baby. None of us would have ever guessed multiples would be an option. Twins are so rare that they're not really a consideration, but three? It's unheard of. I have literally never heard of it happening in my lifetime.
