“She went after Vance,” Gil noted from behind me. I didn’t even hear him come up. “Where is he?” “Trying to reattach his dick before his wound heals over,” Jase said. My gaze snapped over to him. There was a small smile playing at his lips. “His dick?” I asked, my own smile pulling at my lips. “I thought she was after his head.” “Wrong head,” Jase muttered.
“Jase!” I growled. “Fucking on it!”
Vance lifted his face, his eyes trailing to mine. I smiled at him and waved just to rub it in.
“Thank you, my lady,” she said quickly. “Sorry to inter—” “Silvia,” she interrupted. I almost groaned.
It is pitiful, how obsessed I am with her.
“Keir never needed anyone,” I said before I could stop myself. I bit my tongue after the words spilled from my mouth. There was a heavy silence between us, and I felt the ridiculous need to apologize. “She needed you,” Gil commented after a while.
“It’s cute that you have matching names,” I said to Marcus.
I didn’t care that his heart startled enough to indicate a heart attack.
“Eyes on me, Keir,” she commanded.
“And when it’s time to hand your power off to our heir, they will sit atop the same.” Our heir.
“What the fuck was that?” was out of my mouth before I could think twice. I shot a panicked look over to the women, who’s faces were now drained of amusement. One reached out to pull her child closer. “Tea,” Silvia said and took the cup from my hand. “Excuse her. She has no manners.”
