No matter how far she ran, or how much she hated me. . . I would be getting her back and to her rightful place. As queen, ruling by my side, for all eternity.
I needed to consume her every thought and entire being, after all, it was only fair after she had burrowed herself so deeply inside me. There was not a waking moment where I did not think of this wild, fiery creature below me.
It was the single most hate-filled and deprived kiss I had ever had. . . And I fucking loved it.
I watched her in awe, and I was sure that I had never seen a woman as beautiful as her. It didn’t matter whether she was a human or a vampire, this was the girl that I would stand by for the rest of my existence. This was the queen I would serve. And this was the girl I would love for as long as she would have me.
She could demean me. Spit on me. Beat me into my own grave. And I would still kneel for her.
It’d been far too long since we were last together, and even longer before then. I’d been waiting for her and hadn’t dared find anyone else.
She would be my first and last bite, and I hoped to God it scarred. I wanted the reminder.
She leaned forward, her lips just barely brushing across mine. “Are you?” she asked. “Is Keir jealous and needing attention?”
“What I wanted to tell you is that I have been falling in love with you,”
“I love you,” I repeated. “I have loved you and that will not change. You can run again, as far as you’d like, I will always bring you back. You can’t hide from me, Silvia.”
“Keir, I—” “I don’t care what you want to call us, but we are past this fake hate,” I growled. “I love you, Silvia.” I timed my thrusts with my words. “I’ve loved you for years, and I can’t take it anymore.”
“I love you, Silvia,” she whispered. Without missing a beat I said, “And I love you, Keir. Truly and more than life itself.”
