And can a private company really protect itself from a hostile nation? Can we as private citizens act as our own armed forces? And what happens when corporations are as powerful as nations?” Damon nodded. “We complain about the Chinese and Iranians, but we used advanced cyberweapons, like Stuxnet and Flame, on them first. Can we really be surprised that now they’re using them against us?” That sounded familiar, and it made me think of something. “‘If you decide to use fire in battle, make sure that anything you need yourself isn’t flammable.’” “Sun Tzu?” asked Rory. I nodded, thinking, The more things change, the more they stay the same. “Well then,” Rory laughed, “we should have been more careful, because we’re about the most cyber-combustible country on the planet.” Nobody else thought it was funny.

Wow the book kept me glued to the pages. It gave me a lot to think about.
