My throat burns as I stare at it, my head spinning too fast to focus on any one thought. Jeremy clears his throat. “Grandma makes quilts in her spare time.” My eyes, glassy with tears, meet his grandmother’s. “You.” I swallow past the lump threatening to choke me. “You made this?” She smiles at me and nods. “Everyone in the family has one.”
