“It wasn’t me that cunt threw into the flames of Hell, it was Adonis, the Son of Hell himself.”
When faced with pain and fear, who do you save first? Those you created, or the one that holds your heart? Choose the correct door, with the correct answer to pass.
When she finally catches her breath, her gaze turns to mine for the first time since I burst into the room. Her smile is wide and her eyes shine bright and knowing. “I know it for a fact, because he no longer has his gift from Pandora’s Box.”
Realization washes over me as I hear Zeus grunt from across the room before clapping his hands and disappearing from sight. Nyx claps and laughs before me as she follows suit, winking before she leaves, a promise she’ll be back eventually, all while my unit gasps at my side and I stare in surprise at the item in my hands. My dagger belonged to him. This was his dagger. And now it’s mine.
The Dagger of Victory is one of the most highly-ranked gifts from Pandora’s Box. Bestowed to the beholder, it cannot be wielded by another. The holder of the prestigious dagger cannot be defeated. Not in combat, not in strength, not in power, for the beholder shall see only victory.
“And we would choose you again, and again, and again. Without question, without guidance, without anything but the pure, raw need to be with you.”
Spasms continue to run through the pair of us, prolonging the ecstasy rippling through our bodies before I can finally attempt to catch my breath. Lifting my lips to her temple, I place a soft kiss against her skin, pressing my chest further into hers, wanting to feel every inch of my woman against me. “I’m going to love you forever, Baby. To Hell and back.”
“You are all special, unique, and precious to me. But you, my angel, are sourced eternally from the Gauntlet of Purity. That is why your eyes are blue, your wings are black, and you have the ability to perform such magic.”
“He loves to make us watch him touch our woman,” Xander grunts, making me smile as I lean back to look Adonis in the eyes. “Well, duh. It literally recharges me when you’re all hot under the collar as you watch,” he retorts with a wink, and I shake my head at him. This fucking guy.
“Since when was there a fucking doorbell?” The surprise seems to light up his facial features as Khaos scoffs beside him, shaking his head as he tries to hide his amusement.
“The supreme bitch is dead. Her heart is no longer beating, in fact it’s no longer in her body. Khaos is starting a collection for me.”
Harmonia rises from the table, hands on her hips as she smiles at me. Positivity pulses from her and it blows my mind how she can have such an amazing outlook on life. Fuck, stand closer, and let me absorb it.
“Don’t be so defeated. Strength comes from our falls, our bruises serve as reminders, and our pain becomes our power.”
