But I’m not going to give up so easily. My future with Elli is on the line. And I’ll do anything to save it.
“She confided in me after your meltdown at our reception that she felt he would at least keep you busy. That she knew about your father and his father having some sort of agreement that after you graduated Barrington, you were to marry him.” My father wanted me to marry Sin?
Never trust a man unless you know what he’d do to survive. I get it. Because for once, I understand what my father did, and it doesn’t sound so bad.
“Keep your eyes on my wife. If anything happens to her, I’ll dig them out of your fucking head with a butter knife,” I threaten.
She doesn’t even look fucked up, just blank. She’s no longer my little demon. She’s Ellington Asher, the girl they wanted to break. The girl who has no idea just how powerful she can be. I’m her only hope.
“It’s true, princess,” the man speaks behind me, and a whimper escapes my parted lips. Sin nods his head at me as if to encourage me and then lets go of my face, placing them on my shoulders and turning me around. I stare wide-eyed at a set of blue eyes I haven’t seen in years. He doesn’t look the same, but I’d recognize him anywhere. “D-Dad?”
“Your death ruined her life,” I say simply.
Sin may be the devil, but I’m the sinner. Doing the same thing over and over, knowing that I can’t be saved.
He said he wanted me to let him know when I was going to do something stupid over pussy. This is that time. “Heads-up. I’m coming to Blackout to kill a motherfucker,”
I’ve already promised myself to Carnage. The Lords can’t do shit to me.
Although I hate what she went through, I’d never change who she is. I love her. Every crooked piece, every sharp edge. She is the frame to a picture. She is what holds me together. I just wish I could have been the same for her.
I spent the past two days locked away with Elli in our basement. I fucked her like there’s no tomorrow. In a way, there isn’t. It was my last chance to get her pregnant. To leave her with something of mine. She has my last name, but I wanted to give her a child.
But I also know that you were always meant to be mine, and me yours. No matter what I’ve done or said to you, please believe me when I say it was always you. You are it for me.
“Have me served with divorce papers, Sin, and see what I fucking do with them. I’ll shove them so far down your throat, you’ll fucking choke on them.”
“Tyson.” I nod to Chance, and he walks behind him. Chance’s head snaps up, wide eyes on mine. “I didn’t know,” he rushes out. “You were dead.” “Yet here I am.” I hold my arms out wide. Tyson grabs Chance’s hair and yanks his head back. I run the tip of the blade slowly across his neck, doing exactly what I told him I’d do. Stepping back, I watch the bastard bleed out onto the floor with a smile on my face.
“Say I’m yours, Sin.”
This is what I’ve always wanted. To be loved and feel safe.
I’ve never believed in God. But if I had, I’d tell him to go fuck himself.
Like I said, she’s my twin. I’m not sure Brexton could shoot anyone unless his life depended on it. But Annaleigh? I have no doubt she’d stab someone multiple times if you try to tell her how to drive. Then she’d hide the body while setting up a search party.
