“I learned you enjoy romance stories.” My breath hitched, even though he said those words with a cool, calm tone. “So I made sure to get any and all romance novels I could get my paws on in the five kingdoms.”
“But if you want more, I will get you whatever you desire. I just yearn for you to be happy here… with me.”
“You’re not what I expected,” I whispered, our mouth so close together that my bottom lip almost touched his tusks. “You are everything I envisioned.” His words were a deep rumble that I felt all the way down to my toes.
The fairy tales were wrong… Beauty could want the Beast.
“Say it again for me, sweetheart.” I smiled. “I’m yours. Always.” He growled a pleased sound. “That’s right. Because the Beast finally captured the Beauty’s heart.”
