He’s kept a hand on me pretty much the entire night so far, either holding mine, or resting his on my lower back, and sometimes if we’re sitting, on my knee.
He studies my face as he reaches up and tenderly pushes some strands of my hair back. “Aidan,” I say, my voice coming out as a whisper. “No one’s around. We don’t have to pretend anymore.” I give him a little smile, my heart practically beating out of my chest. “Who’s pretending?”
I look over at Josie, who’s holding hands with Reece, and his little daughter, Andi, next to them. They look like a perfect little family standing there.
I never thought I’d want to go, but when I brought it up to Aidan, he said it was a great excuse to see me in a bikini.
