The world is now seen as something rational: It emerges from eternal reason, and this creative reason is the only true power over the world and in the world. Faith in an omnipotent, Creator God is the source of rationality; it is the only thing that can be entirely rational. To deny this is to accept that chaos and random chance reign supreme over the universe - chaos is essentially irrational.
