Seeing the single king-sized bed makes me a little sad. There won’t be enough room for all of us until they bring the other one back in—an accommodation we made for my parents that I won’t be making again. I made sure they, as well as Dr. Tobin, knew the real truth about our relationship, because I didn’t want it coming up later and giving them another excuse to intrude into my life.
