It’s been a very long time since I’ve felt this way about someone, and I know with great certainty there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for her.
“You know, when the four of you showed up at my apartment and swept me away from everything I knew, I thought my life was over. I couldn’t imagine how I’d be able to live with you all, to tolerate being stuck with a bunch of vampires who had some supernatural claim to me.” She takes a deep breath, letting it out in a soft sigh that makes my lips tingle with the desire to kiss her as I close my eyes, and she continues, “And then you all went and made me fall in love with you.”
“I love you,” she whispers, “so fucking much it’s hard to breathe sometimes.”
“I will love you as long as I’m still breathing. Even after that. I will love you in this life and whatever comes next.”
“I love you with all that I am. So entirely that if by some devastating stroke of fate you were no longer part of my reality… there would be a part of me that would cease to exist.”
“Fine, fine. Where’d we land on the umbrella?”
