Never lie to me.

There’s a long row of tapes with the initials EJ on them

“Because I want you.”

“She was staying at a cabin for the weekend with her fiancé and two of her best friends. Out in the wilderness, no cell phone service, yada yada yada.”

And it’s not like Adrienne Hale is going to come back here and want to wear the sweater, for God’s sake.

Every tape except one.

That’s what you get for messing around behind my back.

“Goodbye, Edward,” I say.

“My mother always says the only way two people can keep a secret,” she says, “is if one of them is dead.”
