Softening The Heart: Kitāb az-Zuhd wa’r-Raqāʾiq

A person’s sins will be presented before him on the Day of Rising. He will pass by one of his sins and say, “I was afraid you would show up.” Then he will be forgiven.’ (Dīnawarī in Mujālasah 2464).
