Abū Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said, ‘There is no one who dies who does not have regrets.’ They asked, ‘What does he regret, Messenger of Allah?’ He answered, ‘If he did good, he regrets that he cannot do more. If he did evil, he regrets that he cannot remove it.’ (Tirmidhī 2403).
