There you are, Lennon. There you fucking are.
“When’d you get such a filthy little mouth, Lennon?”
Messy eater.
The controlled power that radiates from him sends a chill down my spine. His conviction excites me, and I have to breathe through the attraction.
Capri is a lie. Lennon is the real thing.
Claire can choke on a dick for all I care.
Astraea. Sweet, sweet Lennon Capri. You’re mine. You’ve always been mine.
This is my Lennon. I knew she was still in there.
“You’re mine,” he says, his voice full of conviction. “You’ve always been mine, and I’ve always been yours. That hasn’t changed. You belong with me.”
“I fucking went to rehab for us,” he says, his voice shaking. “So I could love you right.” Love. So I could love you.
“Why now, after four years? I was doing fine! I was doing good, and you have to come and derail me again? I was doing fine without you!” “Fine?” he spits, his face twisted and his eyes ablaze. “You don’t want fine, Lennon. You want madness. You want fire. Anything less is a waste of time.”
“I never gave up on us,” he breathes out. “Even after you did, I didn’t. Because you belong with me, Lennon Capri. You always have and you always will.”
It’s needy. Vulnerable and honest. It’s my Lennon. My Astraea.
“I’m an addict, Astraea. I don’t know how to do anything small. I feel intensely. I want intensely. I crave intensely. For me, if it’s not a healthy obsession, it’s not love.”
“I’m so tired, Macon. I’m tired of hiding. I’m tired of fighting this. I’m tired of pretending it hasn’t always been you.”
“Look at you, Astraea,” he rasps, taking two steps forward then climbing on the bed. “Just fucking look at you.”
“Be a good girl for me, Lennon Capri,”
“That’s what I thought.” He reaches out and takes my hand. “We will always be fri—” “Nope!” Macon shouts from the living room, cutting off Franco’s sentence.
My left side wasn’t unlucky. It was just waiting for Lennon. She heals my hurts. She strengthens me. I’m so stupidly in love with her.
“You’re my home, Astraea.”
“This life. The next life. Every life after that. I will love you in all of them, Lennon Capri. It doesn’t matter who you become or how you change. My soul will always belong to yours.”
“I love you, Macon Andrew Davis, in this life and all the rest of them. I love you.”
