Any attempt to leave her spot in exile was thwarted by a stern look or a threat of me pelting her with spare eggs. Her last attempt to ‘help’ caused me to raise an egg in warning.
This is hilarious
She leaned over to caress my face before she gave me a quick kiss and hurried off to the kitchen. I froze in place. The small gesture of affection was new and unexpected.
