“Where are you going?” “I have to prepare for my date tonight.” I tried to hide my smile “Can I have a kiss?” I pushed my luck. She leaned forward, getting inches from my face. “Friends don’t kiss.”
When she sat down, she placed her phone on the table and her screen lit up, showing my bruised face and swollen lips as her screensaver.
“It means that I am not my fucking self around you. Ask me how many times I’ve visited a museum or Central Park or any of that. Ask me when’s the last time I been on my yacht. You’ve just made me rethink my life’s trajectory.” “Awwee, I was just going to say that I missed that dick,” said, making me laugh and shake my head.
What the fuck would I say to him? Sterile my mothafuckin’ ass. Maybe that was a ploy to start up his own compound. Maybe start his own religion or something. Did he do that teary-eyed crying spiel with everyone?
“Diesel, you are a dominant man. With a name like Diesel, you are supposed to be dominant. I would never ask you to give that up or change who you are. You’ve made me love that room. I even bought my own set of nipple clamps and anal beads. How could you think you could just make me squirt out my pussy from fucking my ass and think I would want to give that up? Huh? Are you crazy?” “Good Lord.” He looked around. “It’s children around here. Your loud ass voice carries,” he said, making me laugh.
“He only got you pregnant—” Before I could stop myself, I yoked her lanyard, pulling her to me. “I would think very carefully before you finish that sentence, Perris. Very carefully. Because I am liable to staple your mothafuckin’ ass to this conveyor belt. Leave my deceased daughter out of this, bitch!”
“You think I’m going to reward you with dick after you’ve been bad today? Fuck no. I just couldn’t stand being mad at your pretty ass. Take your ass to sleep. Talking about some before I make life real hard out here for you. You don’t even know what the fuck that means.” “Shol’ don’t, but it got the point across, didn’t it?” He shook his head. “Hell no, it didn’t. I had to make a heavy donation to that store so Charlie’s Angels wouldn’t get arrested.”
When she shook David’s hand, I looked at my dad who’d just thrown back a shot. Everyone in the room, but him, knew my mother was only running around with David to piss him off. My mother called herself dating both him and my father and it was funny as hell. She told me that ironically being with another man made her realize that she was truly in love with my father, but she was going to make him pay, at least for six more months.
