No typical office-working demon in their right mind would be waiting in the parking garage an hour early so that they could watch their crush drive in.
was it really stalking if he was meant to be mine?
“Uh,” Jaehan cleared his throat. “I have an extra shirt if you need one, friend.”
“What the fuck?” “What do you mean what the fuck?” I asked. “Why the fuck are you coming to work shirtless?” “Because I’m fucking invisible,” he said, staring at me like I was a ghost.
“Uh. What’s in the cage?” “A demon named Biscuit, but Inferna says it’s her aunt’s naked cat. But this thing is ancient and looks like a crusty mole with eyes that stare into your soul. Somehow we are watching it for the week. I don’t know why.”
“I’m not trying to be an ass, but I don’t know what you want me to do with this information, Billy. It’s not even 8:30 a.m., I’m babysitting a cat from hell, and Charlie is a solid employee who doesn’t seem to have done anything wrong.”
“So why can I see you now then?” “I don’t know,” I lied. It was a lie because there was only one circumstance in which I could be seen, and I refused to think about it right now.
The possibility that I had stepped into an elevator with the two individuals in the world who were my mates, was impossible.
human again. “Charlie,” Billy said, his voice a low timbre. “Tell me now. What do you want for breakfast? A demon and a witch? Or some of the fucking bland eggs and toast.” “I’ve never been with anyone,” I said bluntly.
“Don’t run,” Billy growled behind me. “If you run, I will have to catch you.”
I was now sandwiched between a six-eyed demon and a tentacled monster, and both of them were hard for me.
“Why can we see you? Heats only happen for two reasons. One, it’s time for the cycle— and it’s not for me. Or two, my mates are nearby.”
“Mates,” he said. “That’s why you can see me. The two of you are mine.”
I didn’t want to fall in love. I didn’t want to be with anyone after everything I had gone through. But this felt right, and I couldn’t stop the lust. I wanted this, even if I didn’t want the two creatures who were meant to be my mates.
It had been less than an hour, and I was already willing to do whatever the fuck this little omega witch wanted.
There were many mornings I had been drinking carton milk when Hunter had made another surprised yelp after finding a thousand dollars under his pillow. At one point, he had told a friend there was a tooth fairy in the house, but they stole his things and gave him cash. I’d never known fairies to give humans money. They just seemed to trap them and steal their souls, but what did I know?
They could see me, and I would do everything I could to prove I could be loved.
“You did so well taking my tentacle down your throat too,” he said. “Thrusting in and out of you. You just let me use you over and over again like a good little slut.”
“Angry is an understatement,” Inferna said, taking a sip of her coffee. “If there is anything else, you need to tell us now. Or I will be calling my godfather and he will take you out, and I will not feel a shred of guilt about it.”
If the lesson was getting fucked like this, then I would be a brat forever.
“For fuck’s sake. The three of you need to stop. You’re who they are after.” “Yes,” Calen said, glaring. “But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t go.” “That’s what the blonde chick in horror movies says before she gets eaten,” Mich grumbled.
