“Gardening.” “Now there’s an idea! How do you feel about flower arrangement?” “That is not the same thing, Ash.” His face practically glowed. “You called me Ash.” I masked my embarrassment with a scowl. “Well, it’s your name, isn’t it?”

Thankfully, the door swung open and he returned with a thick pair of gloves. I could’ve kissed him. Platonically, of course.

Shaking my head, I said, “I’m afraid I must decline, Your Majesty.” “Why is that? Do you prefer my other son?” “No!” I blushed, pretending not to notice how Ash sat straighter at the suggestion. “I do not intend to marry at all.”

SCREAMING

“I could love you, if you give me the chance. Blazing fires, I’m already halfway there.”
