This is not to suggest that there is not a problem with resilience among students but, as broadcaster and free speech campaigner Claire Fox has outlined in her book I Find That Offensive! (2016), this is largely a product of over-protective teaching and parenting strategies by older generations, as well as an approach to anti-bullying that has encouraged young people to believe that trauma is inevitable and permanent.
