And churches that aligned with the red team were tempted to ignore the horizontal dimensions of biblical justice and not evangelize outside their political tribe. Far from uniting to share Jesus with a world desperate for justice yet unable to even define it, American Christians had largely conformed by 2020 with the partisan battle lines.
