M turned to her with a raised brow. “You’re using your husband as bait.” Almira tightened her fist against her heart, as if she could clutch Alton to her. “Indeed I am.” M smiled. “It’ll be a treacherous journey.” Almira stared at the path where Alton disappeared. “These are treacherous times.”
