if it was your child, would you let them be around a person who has slip ups? would you let them be around someone who chips away at their self worth? even for a second? for me, the answer was no. and as much as it hurts, my inner child thanks me every day for keeping us safe. for taking us out of a situation where we felt scared and helpless.
