She rolled over on to her back and rested a hand on her bloated stomach. It had been a couple of months since her last bleed. With no Governess to ask, she could not be sure, but when she shut her eyes and listened, she was sure she could hear another heartbeat. She did not know if it was her imagination or another siren ability, but something told her she was carrying a baby.
