Dreams. I couldn’t remember the last time I had felt like I had any. What was I searching for? What did I want in life? I didn’t know.
“What?” I asked her, trying my best not to scowl at her. She had come over after teaching dance lessons for the evening, content to sit in my small dorm apartment as I made us dinner. “Sometimes I’m still convinced that you’re going to disappear again,” she sighed. “Well, you gotta get used to it,” I grinned. “Because you’re stuck with me forever, I promise.” “Good,” Charlotte said, pushing a strand of blonde hair that had fallen into her eyes back as she continued staring at me. “Because I don’t want to lose my best friend.” “Geez, Char, you’d think I was thinking about going to an alien

“What’s up, John?” I asked, looking up at him as he clutched an armful of papers in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. “Just wanted to check to make sure you were coming to the Staff and Faculty mixer this Friday. Dean Thomas expects us all to be there.” He shot me a glare that said you’re not getting out of this. Damn. I held back my groan. “John, you know those aren’t really my scene…” I hated them. Despised them, even. They just meant more interactions with the other faculty, half of whom were always trying to figure out if I was dating anyone.
I knew, that once I found the right person, I was going to be in it for the long haul. Once I met her, I was going to do whatever it took to keep her in my life, and make sure she knew that I was hers, forever. And she would be mine. Absolutely, unequivocally, mine. I was just waiting for her to walk into my life.
And for some reason, her small smile just did something to me. Because the pure and utter bliss on her face… It stuck with me.
She just seemed like… warmth. It felt like it oozed from her like she could be the light in any dark, bringing a place to life with just a smile.
even throughout everything—life could still be good.
Because at the other end of the room stood the most beautiful man I had ever seen. Not even exaggerating, he was gorgeous. I think my heart skipped a beat. Holy hell, he looked like he could have been a painting.
And for the first time in my life, I thought to myself, is this what it means for fate to exist?
“I’d much prefer to meet the love of my life in more of a… Unique way.”
And when she had asked me how I wanted to meet someone, I almost said it. Just like this.
having someone meant having someone I could lose.
once you had everything, you could also lose it, just like that.
She carried herself as if the very world depended on her light, the warmth of her smile. Maybe it did.
Tessa was my heart, but these guys? They were my backbone. They were the ones who had helped me keep going when the world was dark and bleak.
They knew letting people in was hard for me. Letting someone see underneath the wall of ice I had built up to protect myself, to keep my feelings bottled down inside? That was hard, even with them,
“Get the cookies,” I urged her again. “You know you want them.” She laughed. “You’re right. I do.” Noelle looked at me and then she sighed. “It’s just… a lot of people in my life have told me I need to stop eating so much sugar.” She looked down at her cart and shrugged. “I mean… maybe they’re right.” I shook my head. “That’s stupid, and you know it.” I tried to keep my eyes from roaming down her body, appreciating her ample curves and lovely form. When she went to protest, I stopped her. “I promise, you don’t need to worry about that. Seriously.”
if you didn’t believe in love, in a happy ending, how could you write it,
“You’re so warm,” she murmured into my shirt. “Can I stay here forever? Feels like heaven.”
“I’ll always make time for you.” And damn if that statement didn’t make me feel all warm inside.
“I’ll see you later?” I asked, barely a whisper. He nodded. “Sweet dreams, Noelle.” Oh, they’d be sweet, indeed. And… Wicked. Very, very wicked.
“Do you… think I kiss my friends like that?” I asked, voice a little hoarser than I had hoped. Noelle just looked at me, and then I caught her face. Our gazes connected and I could feel the sparks as we just stared at each other, inches apart, and finally—Noelle shook her head. “No.” Her voice was all breathless. I watched her run her tongue over her bottom lip, and then I leaned in closer to her, close enough that she would be able to feel my breath on her skin when I spoke. “How about we try again?” I murmured, running a finger across her jawbone. “And you can tell me if I kiss you like a

I needed it—needed him. I wanted to plead with the universe. Ask them—God, or the fates, or whoever was in charge—to give us our happy ending. Tell them that if this was fate, if we were meant to be, then I needed to know we would be okay. That we could be happy.
“Please,” I moaned, trying to grab his hand to put it back where I wanted it, but he simply shook his head. “I want to taste your sweet little cunt first, Noelle. But you have to be quiet,” he urged. “Or someone’s going to find us.” My nod was followed by a gasp as he gripped my thighs, spreading them apart. Matthew hoisted one leg over his shoulder as my thigh-high socks rolled down. I couldn’t focus on any of it though, not when his lips were kissing up the inside of my legs, and then my whole brain went fuzzy when his tongue licked a line up my entrance. And oh God when he dipped his

“Oh my god,” I balked, “You’re—you’re not gonna fit, you’re so—” “Shh, my sweet girl. You’re gonna take me so well, I promise,” he soothed, stepping towards me, running his hands over my bare shoulder. “I’m gonna take care of you, baby. I promise.” He waited for me to take a breath and nod before he used his knee to push my legs open, stepping all the way in, his dick standing between us, against my stomach. “I’m going to take you right here, Noelle. On this desk. Spread those pretty legs wide for me, honey.” “Matthew—please…” “I’m going to fuck you now, Noelle, and when I do, you’re going to

She’s Samoyed.”
“And… that’s what happened.” I finished my story as I sipped my coffee. “I’m sorry, you actually—” Gabbi spluttered, mouth dropping open in shock as she held her cup of coffee. Angelina looked over at me with wide eyes, and I shrugged sheepishly. “It just kind of… happened.” I gave them an awkward smile. “Okay… let’s recap.” She held up her fingers, counting them. “We told you to go get your man. You slept with him. You’re now basically dating him, and you’re only just telling us it even happened?? Bitch, I can’t believe you didn’t tell us sooner! We need more details!” Angelina poked my side.

Come to my office after your class. Noelle Demanding now, are we, prof? I want to see you. Come, please? Only if you promise not to keep my underwear again. I can’t promise that baby. Steal another pair, and I’m going to make you buy me more. I’ll buy you whatever you want, sweetheart, as long as I can get you in my arms again. Romantic today, huh, Matthew? I like it. I snorted. Who was this girl that was making me do stupid things like keeping her panties? It wasn’t like I was doing anything with them—but the thought of her walking away from me, still wet and not wearing anything under her

“How do you want me?” She looked up at me through her eyelashes, her lips still shiny from saliva. “I wanna eat your pretty pussy, baby. So get up on my desk and spread your legs for me, Noelle.”
“Do you need me to make you come, baby?” I would do whatever she wanted, because fuck, I would do anything for this woman. “Please,”
“I want you,” she pleaded, hand reaching for my cock, but I stopped her. “Not here,” I said, shaking my head as I caressed her hair. “The next time I fuck you… I want you in my bed, Noelle, sweetheart.” She gave a little whine, and I leaned down to whisper in her ear. “I want to fuck you so hard that you scream, and I can’t do that in my office here, now can I?”
“What smells good?” I asked, nose sniffing in the air. “Oh, right. I made dinner.” “Dinner?” I said, raising an eyebrow. “Oh, Matthew, I do think you’ve found the way to my heart. I hope you know you’re ruining me for all other men.” “Yeah, that’s the point, baby.” He chuckled, giving me a small smile of his own. Because he knew how much I loved food. How often had he watched me eat? He had seen how I delighted in it, savored every bite. And he hadn’t thought I was weird, like so many others had.
“Maybe… if you’re a good girl, you’ll even get dessert.”
“And don’t get me started on those little panties you’re always wearing.” “Oh, you’ve noticed those, have you?” I smirked. “I wear them just to torture you, you know.”
“I want to have you right here, Noelle,” he growled. “Eat you out all night on this countertop until you scream my name.”
“I dreamed about this,” he panted as he pulled away and I leaned my forehead against his. “Dreamed about what? What did you do to me in your dreams, Matthew?”
“What do you want, my sweet girl?” I wanted him. For all things holy and mighty, I wanted him inside of me and wanted him to make me come, and I didn’t care if it was right here in his kitchen for goodness’ sake as long as he put his mouth back on me, his fingers on my clit—something, anything. “I want you,” I heaved, “to fuck me. Hard. Right here, on the counter.”
“Inside me.” “Noelle—” “I want you to come inside me, please,” she said, a little breathless, “I want you to come so hard that I feel your cock pulsing inside of me.” “Fuck. Noelle. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than inside you, sweetheart.”
“What are you doing?” he finally asked. “I’m wondering what it will take to get you to kiss me.” “That’s silly.” “Why is that?” “Because I’m always wanting to kiss you,” he admitted. “Then you should,”
“Come on,” she said, pulling me over to one of the food trucks. “Let’s get a snack. I’m starving.” I laughed. “We ate breakfast like two hours ago.” Noelle stuck her tongue out at me. I got her a boat of fresh seasoned fries, and she glared as I stole one. I smirked, dropping a kiss on her nose. “I can buy you more, you know.” She was appeased at that and popped another fry in my mouth, feeding me. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks just from the action. How intimate it was. “You know,” she said as I chewed on the fry. “I don’t share food with anyone.” “No?” I asked, wondering why she
