There was a photograph of her outside the Capitol that morning, flashing her “hang loose” sign. She had a motto, “Hydrate and Press On.” She pressed on through a door kicked in moments before, after a Proud Boy used a stolen police shield to smash a window. Surging toward another set of doors that wouldn’t open.
