“You. You seduced me and then left me. And you don’t even have the fucking human decency to look upset about it. You could have at least gotten a little less pretty in the time we’ve been apart. You didn’t even have the decorum to drunk-dial me at 3am and leave me an incoherent voicemail professing your undying affection. What the fuck, August?”
“Fuck the rules,” Emery mumbles. Sem reaches over and the two of them fist bump and then Emery hands Sem a lollipop. Like it’s totally normal. I just watch as those large fingers unwrap it and Sem pops it into his mouth.
This guy is certifiable. It’s probably why Emery and him got along instantaneously. They just looked at each other and knew. Kismet.
“I take issue with that,” Magnus says. “I happen to think that I am very normal.” “Oh, fuck off, tiny. You’re crazier than a soup sandwich,” Luke says and scoops Magnus up. Sem growls and snatches his husband away, cradling him to his massive chest.
“I’m Luke. Sem’s older brother. And this is Elliot, my best friend.” “He uses that word too loosely,” Elliot interrupts. “This man just invaded my space one day and I can’t get rid of him.”
“Don’t ask me to share my food. I can get very territorial,” Emery says softly. “But can I have a bite of yours?”
Magnus scoots out of the booth and claps his hands like he’s trying to get the attention of his kindergartners. To be fair, we resemble them at times. “Alright, listen up. So, we need to go like now. It will take about fifteen minutes to get to the laser tag place and we need to check in…Luke do not do that with your sucker. That is not sanitary.”
