Well, if these guys have metallic properties to their skin, electricity ought to go right through them.
No. The metallic skin would protect the internal organs, muscles, nerves, and skeleton from electrical charges; their skin is effectively a mobile, flexible Faraday cage. It's doubtful that the protection is 100% effective, but it shouldbee very effective.
I do not want to be caught in the middle of that… Still, it seems my hypothesis on the metallic skin being weak against Tiny rang true. Pretty sure that monster’s skeleton was visible.
Nope. Electric attacks should be largely ineffective. The charge should flow though the skin into the ground through the pigs feet, doing relatively little damage to the pig.
I flee rapidly from the effusive praise and get to work checking on the old boundary as I circle around and overwrite it. It appears as though Enid was telling the truth after all. With that job done, I call Tiny up to help me and leave Crinis on defence duty under the queen’s chamber before marking out the new boundary in a straight line roughly two kilometres long between the settlement and the nest. With Tiny helping, it’s fairly easy to clear out trees. After surveying a little, we choose an area a hundred metres from the stream and several hundred from the settlement. Using my Infused

If the Humans and Ants work to build a society together, they could easily dominate the entire world. Consider the possibilities of human knights astride soldier ants wearing metal barding. Also consider ants assisting the humans' agriculture and industry; a few worker ants on a treadmill could power a small factories worth of machinery. Of course, intelligent ants could accomplish the same feats alone, but it would happen much faster with the two species working together. Especially since the new Crafter Ants won't need to reinvent the technologies which humans have already mastered.
Well, the ant kingdom will also have to compile this knowledge! Starting with the first twenty of the new generation, I’ll begin the process of learning the secrets behind the entire skill tree. Not a single leaf shall remain unturned!
He needs to create a writing system for the ant nation. Given the way ants use their antennae it would likely be a Braille-like alphabet.
Other than Biomass and monster cores, what else does the colony require? On the off chance that something useful can be found down there, I might keep this in mind. Still, in my mind, it’s far more likely to be helpful to the humans than it is to us.
