It was funny because those last few months before I graduated from college, I was in a complete panic about what I wanted to do with my life. And somehow I’d fallen into the dream job. I loved taking care of the girls. Reading with them and baking with them, and we were putting in a little garden in the backyard. It’s like this is where I was meant to be. And on my days off, I wrote like a madwoman. I’d gotten completely lost in my words over the past few weeks. I was already more than halfway done with my first draft, and everything just somehow felt… right.
