“Do you read any normal books?” Mary asked. Giana frowned, tapping her thumb against the edge of the book still cradled to her chest. “I like vanilla romance sometimes… a sweet friends-to-lovers, maybe a second-chance situation.” “And those don’t have sex in them?”
Giana snorted. “Like I’d waste my time on a book without spice.”
“Reading dirty books and highlighting all the best parts for us to try after the win.”
“Me, too, you know,” she said softly. “You, too, what?” She peeked up at me. “I love you.” “Well, obviously.”
“Say it again,” I murmured along the skin behind her ear before I kissed the very spot my breath touched. “I love you, you idiot.”
