Fox silently evaluates my newest addition while his parents and Bellamy get settled in the living room. When I’m done setting up the mini-table, I straighten up and shoot Fox a megawatt smile, urging him to praise my effort with my non-verbal communication skills. In our own home, Fox emotes much more freely, and he gives me an approving nod. “I don’t know where you keep getting these things, but don’t ever stop. They’re perfect.” He’s said that a couple of times now, but it bears repeating every time I add to our decor. Plus, I like that he’s letting me do this for him. We both know he could jump on the internet and google miniature furniture, but he lets me do this for him and I love everything about that. I do have amazing taste. “You absolutely do,” he agrees, pulling me in for a hug. We’re still at that honeymoon stage of love where we’re in each other’s space as much as possible. I keep telling him we have all of eternity, and if he keeps touching me, I’m going to get bored of him, but so far he refuses to listen to my dire warnings. It probably doesn’t help that every time he touches me I get a little turned on, and apparently he can smell that. Fox’s genetics are unusual even for non-human people.
