As many before me have noted, we are our memories. They provide us with our background, with our context, our perspective. They cement our most important relationships, and they inform our future. We are also shaped by family, which in turn shapes those memories. Where you come from and who you come from will always be a part of the equation of you.

The act of creating something from nothing is incredibly empowering. I think most kids discover this on some level.

Don’t let problems magnify; deal with issues as soon as they arise. Problems always magnify over time.

Fail gracefully. Failure is a part of games, a part of life, and a part of success. Accept your flaws, reload your save and try again.

Execution is everything: Success is not defined by an idea. It is determined by your ability to execute on that idea.
