In 2020, Millennials were more likely to be liberal Democrats than older generations; excluding Independents, 6 out of 10 identified as Democrats, compared to 5 out of 10 Boomers. However, that means that among those who affiliate with a party, 4 out of 10 Millennials are Republicans—a fairly high number considering this generation is often stereotyped as uniformly Democrat.
